yimay! i love this. now i want to go to taiwan. i got a book about street food around the world so i recognized some of your food.
Posted by gabe at February 26, 2004 7:52 AMI am so hungry and this all looks delicious.
Posted by James Craig at February 26, 2004 11:42 AMYimay, this food diary is the best! Have you narrowed it down yet to what actually got you sick? :)
Sadly, I ate a tunafish sandwich (out of one of these premade tuna pouches you buy at the grocery story) while I was reading this, but I would have really rather had some of that sashimi!
Posted by Robin at February 26, 2004 12:25 PMYimay. I've seen your postings on SNF, but this is the first time I've made it to your site - what a treat! Now I have to hunt down some recipies for Xiao Long Bao, Si Zhi Tou and Jiao Yian Fei Tsang - they look so tasty.
Posted by SudoNimm (Alan) at February 26, 2004 3:34 PMooh, i'll have to post my mom's recipe for Lion's Head Stew sometime soon!
Posted by yi at February 26, 2004 3:53 PMWonderful blog. A true inspiration to me here in Sao Paulo. Out of curiousity what digital do you use to take all of the wonderful photos. Unfortunetly my site is actually only in portuguese, but if you know some spanish you might be able to read it.
Keep eating
Laurent
i use a nikon coolpix 2500. i would like better, but i've been happy with it for the most part. a few of the pics might be from my mom's camera. i'm not sure what model it is but it's one of the cheaper olympus digitals.
Posted by yi at March 2, 2004 1:17 AMOh, I miss Taiwan. Wah. I didn't take many food pics while I was there so this is great to show my husband. :) (He would have liked EVERYTHING there, I think, even the stuff I wouldn't touch.)
I did take tons of food pictures when we were in Japan on our honeymoon this winter, though, so I'm going to post my own food diary soon. :)
Posted by claris at March 25, 2004 5:24 PMYes. I would like to go to Taiwan one day and go on an eating spree like you.
